It's that time of year! The Winter season is here, which means its Little Black Dress time! Everyone-and we mean everyone-can look and feel their best in one of the simplest, but cutest, fashion pieces: the LBD.
You can take your outfit to new heights with accessories and statement pieces to accentuate your individual style and stand out from the monochrome crowd. There are so many different ways to create your own unique look from a simple dress that it can seem overwhelming. Follow our tips of LBD accessories and you'll see, it's NDB (no big deal)!
Red Shoes: Red is the color of the winter season! Nothing says holidays like a little red and green, and accessorizing a LBD with a pop of red color is a quick statement that will not overwhelm the style of the dress. Keep the focus on the footwear by keeping jewelry and bags simple, perhaps in black or white hues only.
Blazer: A LBD is perfect for the office as well! Update a more understated dress with a blazer and a statement necklace to stand out while sitting at your desk. Layering a blazer can also dress down a fancier Little Black Dress and make it more work-appropriate. Finally, the extra layer will serve well during December, when the temperature drops low enough to merit extra warmth.
Fur Coat: You don't have to sacrifice style to stay warm.
Channel the glory days of black and white Hollywood with a fur coat to accentuate the season and bring some wow factor to the dress. Choose black for a classic look, or add character with animal prints.
Patterned Tights: Add a unique spin to the trendy
LBD by choosing a pair of patterned tights. Festive legwear serves the dual purpose of keeping warm during the winter months while showing off individual style. Layer tights under your dress and a pair of taller boots to make a statement at your next outing.
Statement Jewelry: The simple backdrop of a LBD makes a statement piece of jewelry stand out even more than on other outfits. On formal occasions, channel Audrey Hepburn with a pearl necklace and earring combo. For more casual outings, choose bright colors like turquoise to add a pop of flirty fun to your outfit.
Boots: This season, ankle boots and above-the-knee styles
are all the rage. Pair a LBD with your favorite darker shade boots and leggings for a more understated and sleek look. Wear your dress with nude colored shoes and no tights to make your legs look miles long!
Animal Print: Black is the perfect canvas to match animal prints! Try a classic leopard print fur coat or statement shoes. Leopard print never goes out of style, but to mix it up, try a zebra or giraffe print bag or belt paired with a simpler dress style.
Hat: Pair the little black dress with the little black hat for a classic cocktail look from head to toe! Add pearls for extra pizzazz, or a glitzy pair of earrings to finish the look. Try hats in white or gray to add different hues to this evening look, and keep them handy for other outfits on nights out
Colorful Clutch: Not much for the glitz and glam of jewels? Add a pop of color with a cute clutch! Winter colors like white, red, and hues of blue add some pizzazz to the girls' night out, and choosing from more asymmetrical shapes can add that final unique touch to make the outfit your own. Keep your little black dress simple with a black clutch that has a touch of sparkle.
Fall into the Winter season with the perfect pairs to your LDB. Finding the right match is truly NBD when you find your style and share it! With the help of all three sisters, you'll be runway ready before Black Friday!
